Lucid Motors has partnered with SoundHound AI, Inc. to launch the Lucid Assistant, a groundbreaking in-vehicle voice assistant powered by generative AI. The assistant offers hands-free control of vehicle functions, enhanced user interaction, and real-time access to knowledge. Available to Lucid Air owners, it is designed to grow in functionality through over-the-air updates.

- Advanced AI Technology: Lucid Assistant integrates SoundHound Chat AI, providing real-time responses from generative AI and domain-specific knowledge.
- Voice Control Features: Allows users to manage vehicle functions, access the car manual, and control navigation without requiring a cellular connection.
- Natural Interaction: Responds to the wake words “Hey Lucid,” enabling conversational queries with fast and accurate answers.
- Multi-Language Support: Available in six languages, including English, Spanish, and German, with more to follow.
- CES Showcase: Demonstrations available at SoundHound’s booth featuring a Lucid Air vehicle.
The Lucid Assistant delivers a seamless hands-free experience, enhancing the in-vehicle environment with real-time information and intuitive controls. The assistant features proprietary technology to mitigate risks such as “AI hallucinations,” ensuring accurate and contextually relevant responses. Additionally, drivers can control critical vehicle features like navigation and climate settings without relying on a cellular connection.
