Geely Auto has announced a strategic partnership with five leading Indonesian dealers, signaling its ambitious entry into one of Southeast Asia’s largest automotive markets. This collaboration demonstrates Geely’s commitment to expanding its global footprint and strengthening its position in the right-hand-drive vehicle segment.

During the partnership ceremony, Evin Ye emphasized the importance of the Indonesian market, stating, “Indonesia is not only a dynamic and promising market, but also a critical step for Geely to expand its presence in the right-hand-drive segment.” Ye also highlighted the dealers’ expertise and alignment with Geely’s vision for the region.
To solidify the partnership, Geely hosted a group of Indonesian dealer representatives at its headquarters in Hangzhou. The dealers toured the company’s cutting-edge R&D center and Qiantang manufacturing plant. They also experienced a test drive of the Geely EX5, further reinforcing confidence in the brand’s commitment to innovation and quality.
The Indonesian government’s ambitious plans to establish 25,000 EV charging stations and boost electric vehicle adoption align well with Geely’s strategic goals. Victor Gao, Managing Director of Geely Auto Indonesia, shared the company’s roadmap, stating, “Over the next three years, we plan to introduce 5-7 models, including SUVs, MPVs, and BEVs, PHEVs, and ICE vehicles, to meet the diverse needs of different market segments.”
Geely’s foray into Indonesia underscores its dedication to global expansion and delivering superior products, positioning itself as a key player in the evolving electric mobility landscape.
