Caterham Adopts Immersion-Cooled Batteries

Caterham introduced the Project V concept car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2023, followed by its showcase at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2024. The Project V embodies Caterham’s hallmark attributes of lightweight construction, simplicity, and driving pleasure. Owned by Japanese automotive group VT Holdings, Caterham aims to bring this EV coupé to market with innovative technologies.

XING Mobility’s IMMERSIO™ CTP immersion-cooled battery pack is pivotal to this effort. By immersing cells in a dielectric liquid, the technology ensures uniform heat dissipation, enhancing safety and maintaining high energy density. Founded in 2015, XING Mobility leads in immersion-cooling battery systems with a production facility in Taiwan.

The next public appearance of Project V will occur in January 2025 at the Tokyo Auto Salon, showcasing the latest developments in Caterham’s EV journey.
