Vehicle Deliveries Surge
NIO Inc. showcased robust growth in February 2025, delivering 13,192 vehicles, a 62.2% jump from February 2024. The NIO brand contributed 9,143 units, up 12.4%, while the ONVO brand added 4,094 units. This performance boosted NIO’s cumulative deliveries to 698,619 vehicles, with the NIO brand at 667,897 and ONVO at 30,722. These figures underline NIO’s rising prominence in the electric vehicle market.
Infrastructure Expansion
NIO bolstered its global network in February, opening one NIO House and deploying 36 Power Swap Stations and 24 charging stations. By February 28, 2025, NIO operated 181 NIO Houses and 3,201 Power Swap Stations, with 970 on Chinese expressways. The company also manages 4,395 charging stations with 25,599 chargers and connects to over 2.63 million third-party chargers, having provided 67 million power swaps since its start.
First Power Swap Station in UAE
On February 26, 2025, NIO launched its first Power Swap Station in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This milestone, following the NIO House opening in November 2024, offers local users a fast and efficient recharging option, reinforcing NIO’s commitment to global innovation.
Partnership with Great Wall Motor
On February 14, 2025, NIO Power and Great Wall Motor (GWM) signed a charging service agreement. This deal opens NIO’s network to GWM brands—HAVAL, WEY, ORA, and TANK—enhancing convenience and supporting broader electric vehicle adoption.
Proprietary Aluminum Alloy Enters Mass Production
In February 2025, NIO began mass-producing its self-hardening aluminum alloy for high-pressure die casting. Applied to the NIO ET9 and ONVO L60 models, this technology improves performance and cost-efficiency, with NIO sharing it to advance the EV industry.
Record Power Swap Usage During Chinese New Year
During the 2025 Chinese New Year, NIO delivered 1,716,746 power swaps, a 44% increase from the prior year. Daily swaps topped 100,000 for 12 days, saving users 1.63 million hours. Battery swapping accounted for 83.2% of expressway recharging, cementing its popularity among NIO drivers.
