Volkswagen has unveiled the ID. EVERY1, an entry-level all-electric model set to launch in 2027 with a starting price of approximately 20,000 euros. This new model is part of Volkswagen’s Electric Urban Car Family and follows the ID. 2all, which will debut in 2026.

The ID. EVERY1 boasts a sporty design, a versatile interior, and advanced digital features, making it appealing to both private customers and businesses, including delivery and care services. Notably, it will be the first vehicle in the Volkswagen Group to feature a new, powerful software architecture that allows for lifelong updates and upgrades, ensuring the car can adapt to users’ needs over time.

The ID. EVERY1 combines bold design with accessibility, featuring a self-assured yet likeable appearance. Volkswagen Head of Design Andreas Mindt said, “Our ambition was to create something bold yet accessible. The ID. EVERY1 has a self-assured appearance but remains likeable – thanks to details such as the dynamic front lights and the ‘smiling’ rear. These design elements make it more than just a car: they give it character and an identity that people can relate to.” The interior offers space for four people and a luggage compartment volume of 305 liters, enhancing its practicality.

Built on Volkswagen’s new modular electric drive (MEB) platform with front-wheel drive, the ID. EVERY1 maximizes space and efficiency. The concept vehicle features a 70 kW (95 PS) electric motor, a top speed of 130 km/h, and a range of at least 250 kilometers. Measuring 3,880 mm in length, it fits between the former up! and the current Polo in size.

A standout feature is the innovative software architecture, enabling lifelong updates. Kai Grünitz, member of the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management responsible for Development, noted, “In the future model, we talk about Customer Defined Vehicles. The ID. EVERY1 shows that we are putting our customers, their wishes, interests and preferences at the centre of vehicle development more consistently than ever.” This ensures the car remains customizable long after purchase.

The ID. EVERY1 aligns with Volkswagen’s mission to provide affordable mobility, echoing the Beetle’s legacy. By 2027, the company plans to launch nine new models, including four electric vehicles on the MEB platform. Volkswagen aims to become the technologically leading high-volume manufacturer by 2030, offering a diverse range of vehicles, from combustion engines to advanced electric models.
