ChargeTronix, a leading U.S.-based provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has unveiled two innovative EV charging systems to support the growing adoption of electric vehicles across the country. The company introduced the 1,280 KW Nexus Distributed Charging System, designed for fleet operations, and the third-generation 240 KW chargers, suitable for both electric trucks and passenger vehicles. These cutting-edge products aim to enhance charging efficiency and infrastructure reliability as EV use continues to rise in the United States.
Key Highlights
- ChargeTronix launches two advanced EV charging systems.
- The 1,280 KW Nexus Distributed Charging System charges up to 16 vehicles at once.
- It powers Class 6 to 8 vehicles to 80% charge in 30 minutes.
- The third-generation 240 KW chargers serve passenger vehicles and electric trucks.
- These chargers feature a 50% larger ADA-compliant screen, high efficiency, intelligent power distribution, advanced safety features, and flood and smoke detection.
- They charge light and medium-duty vehicles in 20 minutes and heavy-duty vehicles in one hour.
- Both will be showcased at the 2025 ACT Expo in Anaheim, California.
The 1,280 KW Nexus Distributed Charging System stands out as the market’s fastest charger, tailored for fleets operating medium to heavy-duty electric trucks, such as delivery vans, buses, and tractor-trailers. Capable of charging these vehicles to 80% in just 30 minutes, it minimizes downtime for operators. With 16 outputs from a single power cabinet, it’s ideal for high-traffic locations like truck stops, charging hubs, and dispatch centers.
Meanwhile, the third-generation 240 KW chargers offer versatility for both passenger vehicles and electric trucks. They include a 50% larger ADA-compliant screen for better usability, high efficiency for optimal energy use, and intelligent power distribution across multiple connectors. Enhanced with advanced safety features like flood and smoke detection, these chargers deliver rapid charging—20 minutes for light and medium-duty vehicles and one hour for heavy-duty ones.
Xavier Landavazo, CEO of ChargeTronix, emphasized the systems’ importance: “The transition to electrified fleets is inevitable, with more than 15,000 electric trucks added to the U.S. in 2024 alone. Ensuring that the infrastructure to support fleets during this transition and onward will be critical to addressing bottom lines and minimizing downtime. Our latest product suites are paving the way for the deployment that meets the highest standards of performance, compliance, and reliability.”
Both products will debut at the 2025 ACT Expo, held April 28 to May 1 in Anaheim, California. Visitors can explore them at booth #6921, where experts will provide insights on installation and maintenance.
