Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) has partnered with Proterra to power next-generation electric school buses and last-mile delivery vehicles. The collaboration will see Proterra’s battery technology integrated into Thomas Built Buses’ all-electric Saf-T-Liner C2 Jouley school bus and Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation’s (FCCC) all-electric MT50e delivery truck.

Collaboration Details
Daimler Truck North America and Proterra announced their plans to power the next generation of all-electric vehicles, specifically the Saf-T-Liner C2 Jouley school bus and the MT50e delivery truck. Proterra’s battery technology has been chosen for its industry-leading energy density, durability, performance, and safety systems.
Chris Bailey, acting CEO of Proterra, expressed enthusiasm about continuing the partnership: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Daimler Truck North America to power electric school buses and last-mile delivery vehicles with Proterra battery technology.”

Since 2018, Proterra and DTNA have collaborated on electrifying commercial vehicles. This partnership has resulted in the delivery of over 1,000 Thomas Built Buses electric school buses and FCCC MT50e last-mile delivery vehicles to various school districts and fleet operators across North America.
