Driivz to Power Duracell E-Charge Ultra-Fast UK Charging Network

Driivz will supply the EV charging software platform behind Duracell E-Charge, a UK ultra-fast network backed by £200 million ($272.7 million) and targeting 100-plus sites by 2030.

Driivz, a Vontier company, will supply the EV charging software platform for the Duracell E-Charge ultra-fast network being rolled out across the UK under more than £200 million ($272.7 million) of planned investment. The partnership covers operations management, billing, driver-facing apps, and OCPI roaming across a network targeting 100-plus sites and 500-plus charge points by 2030. Duracell E-Charge is developed and funded by The EV Network and operates the Duracell brand under license.

Highlights

  • Driivz will manage charging operations, billing, and roaming across the Duracell E-Charge UK network.
  • The EV Network plans to invest more than £200 million ($272.7 million) toward 100-plus sites and 500-plus charge points by 2030.
  • Duracell E-Charge commissioned its first hub in Cheltenham in December 2025, with five 300 kW ultra-rapid chargers across 10 bays.
  • Driivz currently manages more than 3 million charging ports across 36 countries for operators including EVgo, Shell, and Volvo Group.

Software Stack Behind the Network

The Driivz platform provides Duracell E-Charge with charger monitoring, remote diagnostics, and self-healing algorithms intended to maximize uptime across the network. The company says its OCPI capabilities will allow The EV Network to expand utilization through roaming agreements with other charge point operators, an increasingly common revenue lever as the UK fast-charging market consolidates.

The deployment also covers Driivz’s billing engine, white-label driver app and web portal, and reporting analytics. Drivers using Duracell E-Charge sites will have access to charging history, itemized invoices, and pricing breakdowns through the consumer-facing tools.

“Duracell E-Charge is being built to set a new benchmark for ultra-fast charging in the UK. That means high uptime, simple pricing and a consistently reliable experience for drivers,” said Mark Bloxham, Managing Director of The EV Network. “Driivz gives us the platform to scale quickly while maintaining control, performance and commercial efficiency as the network grows.”

Shiri Levi-Laor, CEO of Driivz, said the company is “proud to support the rollout of the Duracell E-Charge network across the UK,” adding that operators able to scale while optimizing current operations are the ones positioned to lead the future of mobility.

Network Buildout and Uptime Targets

Duracell E-Charge commissioned its first public site at Bath Terrace Car Park in Cheltenham in December 2025, with five 300 kW ultra-rapid chargers serving 10 bays. The operator has stated a 99%-plus uptime target for the site and has signaled rapid expansion through 2026.

The network’s charger mix spans 50 kW rapid units for local top-ups through 300 kW and 400 kW ultra-rapid hardware for long-distance journeys, with the operator’s published materials referencing capabilities up to 1,000 kW. Pricing is set at £0.80 per kWh, with sites powered by what the operator describes as 100% renewable energy. Payment options include contactless tap-to-pay alongside in-app access.

For Driivz, the partnership extends a roster of operator customers that includes EVgo in the United States, Francis Energy, Shell, Circle K, Volvo Group, and Mer. The company reports its platform currently manages more than 3 million charging ports and serves drivers in 36 countries across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

UK Fast-Charging Context

The Duracell E-Charge buildout lands in a UK market where ultra-rapid capacity has become the primary competitive battleground among charge point operators. ChargePoint and RAW Charging announced in March 2026 that they would deploy more than 300 new DC fast chargers across the UK over the course of the year, backed by a $7.5 million investment in hardware and reliability services. The Duracell-branded rollout positions consumer trust in the battery name as a differentiator alongside speed and uptime.
