Ecolab, a global sustainability leader, has joined forces with Ford Pro™ to electrify its North American sales and service fleet. This collaboration aims for a complete fleet electrification by 2030, starting in California. Ecolab will integrate over 1,000 Ford F-150® Lightning® Pro trucks and Mustang® Mach-E® SUVs, marking a significant stride in its sustainability goals.
Sustainable Impact and Cost Efficiency
The shift to electric vehicles (EVs) is a critical component of Ecolab’s 2030 Impact Goals and its ambition for a net positive climate impact. Ford Pro’s involvement is projected to yield significant operational cost savings, with an estimated $1,400 annual fuel cost reduction per 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Pro truck.
A Century of Collaboration
The partnership between Ford and Ecolab dates back nearly a century, focusing on environmental sustainability and business efficiency. “Ford and Ecolab have worked closely for almost 100 years,” stated Ted Cannis, CEO of Ford Pro, emphasizing their long-standing commitment to both economic and environmental betterment.

Electrification in California
Ecolab’s initiative will first materialize in California, with the goal of achieving 100% EV adoption in the state by 2025. This effort will result in California’s largest all-electric sales and service fleet. Ford Pro will support this transition with comprehensive charging, telematics software, and fleet management solutions.

Both Ford and Ecolab share a dedication to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Their mutual efforts extend beyond vehicle electrification, including water conservation practices. Ford, for instance, has conserved over 186 billion gallons of water since 2000.

Ecolab anticipates significant financial and environmental benefits from going electric. The company expects to halve its annual fuel costs per vehicle, contributing to a more sustainable and economically efficient fleet management.
