Electrify Canada is expanding its electric vehicle charging network to Nova Scotia and further increasing its presence in Québec. The company announced the addition of seven new stations along key travel routes and popular shopping areas, with more than 40 next-generation Hyper-Fast chargers. The expansion marks Electrify Canada’s entry into Nova Scotia, bringing the network’s coverage to seven provinces.

Key Highlights:

  • First Electrify Canada stations in Nova Scotia, enhancing cross-provincial travel.
  • Five new stations in Québec, adding to the existing network.
  • Collaboration with Canadian Tire to provide chargers in strategic locations.
  • Funding from Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) ZEVIP for Nova Scotia and Québec installations.

The new charging stations in Québec are located in Greenfield Park, Mont-Tremblant, Laval, Québec City, and St-Hyacinthe, with existing stations in Drummondville, Mirabel, Repentigny, Sherbrooke, St-Romuald, and Trois-Rivières. The network’s expansion in Nova Scotia includes new stations in Amherst and Bedford, aimed at enabling smoother travel across the Maritime provinces.

Scott Hollinshead, Electrify Canada’s Program Manager of OEM Business Development, emphasized the commitment to providing accessible charging options to support the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. He stated, “These new stations almost double our presence in Québec and introduce Electrify Canada to Nova Scotia. With locations now in seven provinces, Electrify Canada is committed to supporting the widespread adoption of electric vehicles across Canada.”

The expansion was partially funded by NRCAN’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP). The Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, highlighted that the increased availability of EV chargers will help Canadians switch to electric vehicles while providing reliable and affordable charging options.

Lena Metlege Diab, Member of Parliament for Halifax West, also mentioned the significance of these new stations, emphasizing that investments in EV infrastructure help Canadians transition towards a net-zero future while advancing the country’s climate goals.

Electrify Canada’s expansion aims to create a transformative DC fast-charging network for Canadian EV drivers. The Plug&Charge feature offers seamless charging for capable vehicles, while customers can also use the Electrify Canada mobile app for contactless payment and session management.
