EVC, a leader in fully-funded destination charging solutions, has rebranded to Roam to reflect its ambitious vision for expanding EV infrastructure across the UK and Europe. The rebrand aligns with Roam’s plans for growth, including the deployment of 100,000 EV chargers through a £165 million investment announced last year. Roam aims to eliminate range anxiety and enable drivers to roam freely, delivering convenient and accessible charging across multiple sectors.
Key Highlights:
- Roam plans to install 100,000 fast and rapid EV chargers across hospitality, workplaces, multi-dwelling residences, leisure, and retail sectors.
- European expansion is set for 2025, leveraging partnerships in the residential and hospitality sectors.
- Roam’s national rebrand launches this week, with the first rebranded locations at Forge Retail Park in Stourbridge, Hilton Hotel in Leicester, and others.
- Existing users will be seamlessly transitioned to the new Roam brand without changes to their accounts.
Since its inception in 2020, Roam has made significant strides in building a nationwide network of accessible and reliable charging solutions. The company has collaborated with over 14 national hotel groups, including Hilton Hotels and Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, as well as workspace providers such as BizSpace Ltd and sports organizations like The Professional Golfers Association.
In the residential sector, Roam specializes in providing EV chargers for multi-dwelling apartment buildings. Current clients include Galliard Homes, Ballymore, and Battersea Power Station, which hosts nearly 100 charging bays for its residents. Roam plans to accelerate its expansion in both the UK and Europe in 2025.
The new Roam brand embodies the vision of enabling drivers to “roam” freely, eliminating range anxiety with a dependable network of EV chargers. James Randall, CEO of Roam, stated, “Our mission has always been to provide convenient and hassle-free EV charging at destinations where drivers need them most, and this remains at the heart of everything we do at Roam.”
As Roam expands its presence, the company remains committed to empowering cleaner, greener communities and ensuring that electric vehicle charging fits seamlessly into drivers’ everyday lives. The rebrand will involve the rollout of the new Roam identity across all current charging stations throughout 2025, starting with Forge Retail Park in Stourbridge, Tweedmill Shopping Outlet in Saint Asaph, Chartham Park Golf & Country Club in West Sussex, and the Hilton Hotel in Leicester.
The official website and app rebranding will take place on Tuesday, November 26th. Registered users will not need to take any action, as their accounts will automatically update to the new Roam identity.
