EVE Energy’s participation in IAA Transportation 2024 comes at a time when Europe is experiencing significant growth in the electrification of commercial vehicles. The company’s Open Source Battery, designed for minivans, light trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles, is a key development in addressing the logistical challenges of electric vehicle operation.
The Open Source Battery leverages a range of innovative materials to enable 3C supercharging, allowing vehicles to charge from 20% to 80% in just 15 minutes, even in temperatures as low as -30°C. Its long service life of up to 7,000 cycles ensures that the battery lasts throughout the vehicle’s operational life.
Also, the new heat-transfer technology and robust structural design provide enhanced safety and durability. The battery pack features two-side cooling technology, ensuring a top-bottom temperature difference of no more than 5°C, contributing to the system’s stability. Meanwhile, the Cell to Pack (CTP) full-fill foaming technology enhances the battery’s physical strength, making it more resistant to torsion and wear.
The company also introduced other innovative products at the event, including high energy density NCM cylindrical cells, cost-effective LFP cells, and a hydrogen energy battery. These developments further underline EVE Energy’s position as a leader in the sustainable transformation of the European transportation sector.
With a strong global presence, including over 13 production sites and more than 8,500 patents, EVE Energy continues to drive innovation in the electrification of commercial vehicles. The company’s advanced intelligent battery management systems allow for real-time analysis, predictive diagnostics, and over-the-air updates, ensuring that their batteries are always running at peak performance. As a result, EVE Energy is well-positioned to play a major role in meeting Europe’s ambitious sustainability goals for the transportation industry.
