Evotrex Raises $30 Million for Electric RV Trailer

Evotrex has raised $30 million in Series A funding, bringing its total to $46 million, to complete testing and production preparation of the PG5 electric RV trailer ahead of 2027 deliveries.

Evotrex has raised $30 million in Series A financing to fund final development, testing, and production preparation of the Evotrex-PG5 electric RV trailer ahead of planned customer deliveries in 2027. The round brings the California company’s total funding to $46 million. Evotrex reports participation from new investors including GSR United Capital, Forebright Concerto Capital, Unique Capital, Pegasus Capital, TTGG Ventures, ChunJia Capital, and Thundersoft.

Highlights

  • The $30 million Series A brings Evotrex’s total funding raised to date to $46 million.
  • Roughly 90% of the order book is for the fully loaded Premium trim, priced at $159,990, which Evotrex plans to prioritize for initial deliveries.
  • An automotive-standard testing and validation program is expected to begin in Q4 2026, ahead of planned 2027 customer deliveries.
  • An online co-creation workshop and customer configurator are planned for Q3, before production begins.

How Will Evotrex Use the Funding?

The capital will go toward completing final product development, automotive-standard testing and validation, and production preparation for the Evotrex-PG5. The announcement follows the trailer’s debut at CES earlier this year.

“Evotrex was created to transform outdoor adventure and challenge the traditional boundaries of what an RV can be,” said Alex Xiao, CEO and founder of Evotrex. “Following the strong response to our CES debut earlier this year, this financing represents a major milestone for the company and validates our vision for a new category of intelligent, power-generating RVs designed around flexibility, energy independence, and modern living.”

Roughly 90% of Evotrex’s order book is for the fully loaded Premium trim, priced at $159,990, and the company plans to prioritize that configuration for initial customer deliveries.

Validation Program Begins in Q4 2026

Evotrex expects to launch an automotive-standard testing and validation program beginning in Q4 2026. According to the company, the program will include:

  • Towing and range testing
  • Energy management system evaluations
  • Lateral stability and braking assessments
  • Structural durability testing
  • Water fording and rain exposure trials
  • Regulatory compliance testing

The company describes the PG5 as both an RV and mobile energy platform, combining onboard power generation, energy storage, and energy management into a single integrated system. Evotrex says feedback from a recent preorder holder survey indicates strong interest from traditional pickup truck owners, suggesting demand beyond EV-specific consumers for longer-duration travel, off-grid capability, and flexible mobile living.

Product Updates From Preorder Customers

Evotrex has continued refining the PG5 with preorder customers and brand ambassadors through an ongoing co-creation process. Updates informed by customer feedback include:

  • Modular removable dinette seating
  • Integrated 72-inch cinema screen
  • Rear bug screen with an optional enclosed patio bug-screen system
  • New interior theme option, along with additional layout and usability changes

In Q3, the company plans to host a larger online co-creation workshop to share product updates with preorder holders and gather feedback ahead of production. Customers will also gain access to an online configurator before manufacturing begins, allowing them to personalize their PG5 before finalizing purchase orders.

The “Adventure Pass” incentive program for the first 1,000 early preorder holders has concluded, with new incentives for early supporters to be announced. Evotrex is also pursuing dealership partnerships and is accepting inquiries from dealers interested in sales and service partnerships at [email protected].
