FLO and FCL Join Forces for EV Corridor

FLO, a leading North American electric vehicle (EV) charging company, will supply 41 FLO 100kW SmartDC fast chargers to Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). These chargers will be installed at 23 locations across British Columbia, creating a highway charging corridor that enhances fast charging access throughout the province.

Key Highlights:

  • Project Scope: Installation of 41 FLO 100kW SmartDC fast chargers at 23 locations in British Columbia.
  • Purpose: To expand fast, reliable EV charging to both urban and rural areas.
  • Goal: Support B.C.’s emissions reduction goals and facilitate the transition to 100% zero emissions vehicles by 2035.

FLO’s collaboration with FCL, which operates in diverse sectors such as agriculture, food, energy, and home and building, reflects a significant step towards improving EV infrastructure in rural and urban areas. The project aims to provide fast, reliable charging solutions and support British Columbia’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

“Fast chargers are not just dots on the map, they are much-needed opportunities to keep EV drivers on the road,” said Louis Tremblay, FLO president and CEO. “FLO’s project with FCL will expand access to fast, reliable charging throughout British Columbia – particularly in rural cities and towns — as the province moves toward 100% zero emissions vehicles by 2035.”

Additional Services:

  • Comprehensive Support: FLO will provide DC fast chargers, software, network operations services, and the FLO Performance warranty program.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Coordination of site construction, installation, and ongoing maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Warranty Program: The FLO Performance warranty guarantees 98% uptime, offering a 50% refund of the annual warranty fee if this threshold is not met. This includes proactive station monitoring and priority service response within one business day.

The deployment of these fast chargers will begin this summer at Co-op retail locations. FLO’s fast chargers are designed to withstand harsh conditions, ensuring drivers can charge quickly during long trips or brief stops.

FLO’s efforts align with its mission to combat climate change and accelerate EV adoption. With over 100,000 fast and level 2 charging stations, FLO supports more than 1.5 million charging events monthly across North America. FLO’s high-quality stations are assembled in Michigan and Quebec, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and sustainability.
