The Puma Gen-E reimagines the fun-to-drive character of the popular compact crossover, incorporating an all-electric powertrain for improved efficiency. With a consumption rate of 13.1 kWh/100 km, the Puma Gen-E is engineered to deliver both performance and practicality, particularly for longer journeys, while offering charge-free urban trips for days. A seamless 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 8.0 seconds ensures a sporty driving experience, in keeping with the Puma’s reputation.
For city dwellers and young families, the Puma Gen-E maximizes space efficiency thanks to its compact electric powertrain. Ford’s innovative GigaBox significantly expands the vehicle’s boot storage space, providing up to 574 liters of luggage capacity with the rear seats in place, surpassing the storage room of many larger SUVs. Additionally, a 43-liter frunk offers convenient storage for smaller items.
Externally, the Puma Gen-E retains the recognizable styling that has made the model popular but adds new aerodynamic elements. The front features a bold “shield” design, inspired by the Mustang Mach-E, replacing the traditional grille. Unique alloy wheels and a sporty rear spoiler not only enhance the vehicle’s aesthetic but also contribute to its enhanced aerodynamic performance.
Inside, the Puma Gen-E offers a modern, connected driving experience. Two high-definition display screens give drivers easy access to vital information. Ford’s SYNC 4 infotainment system integrates cloud-connected navigation, offering a tech edge over urban traffic. Additionally, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto enable seamless device connectivity, while Alexa Built-in provides voice control for various tasks. A wireless phone charging pad and a redesigned center console ensure practicality and convenience.
The Puma Gen-E also benefits from advanced driving aids. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Lane Centering technology, as well as Predictive Speed Assist, help the vehicle navigate curves, roundabouts, and highways with ease. A 360-degree surround-view camera provides a bird’s eye view for tight parking situations, making city driving more convenient.
Built at Ford Otosan’s facility in Craiova, Romania, using electric drive units from Halewood, UK, the Puma Gen-E symbolizes Ford’s progress toward an all-electric future. Available to order now, with deliveries starting in spring 2025, this model is part of Ford’s commitment to becoming carbon neutral by 2035.
Ford’s ongoing European transformation is a pivotal part of its Ford+ strategy, combining the forces of Model e, Ford Pro, and Ford Blue business units to lead the way to a greener future.
