Ford’s 2024 sales in the Middle East have hit a record high, driven by strong market share growth in key countries and the introduction of an electrified lineup. Notable launches like the Mustang Mach-E and Territory Hybrid are setting the stage for Ford’s commitment to electrification, while connected services like FordPass promise to redefine the ownership experience.
Key Highlights:
- Record Sales Growth: Sales doubled since 2022, driven by strong market share in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
- Electrified Lineup: Launches of Mustang Mach-E and Territory Hybrid strengthen Ford’s presence in the electric and hybrid market.
- Connected Services: Introduction of FordPass in 2025 to provide enhanced convenience for customers in the Middle East.
Ford has seen an unprecedented increase in customer demand across the Middle East, thanks to an extensive lineup of fresh vehicles and customer-focused services. “2024 has been an exceptional year for Ford in the Middle East, with sales having doubled since 2022,” said Ravi Ravichandran, President of Ford Middle East. The success is largely attributed to increased market share in key markets, including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Notably, Ford is the fastest-growing automotive brand in Saudi Arabia, with Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies and Mohammed Yousef Naghi Motors contributing significantly to overall regional sales.
Ford’s growing portfolio in the Middle East now includes 15 nameplates sourced globally. Some standout models in the lineup include:
- 2025 Mustang Mach-E: Debuting next year, this all-electric SUV offers performance akin to the Mustang legacy, with a 0-100 km/h time of 3.3 seconds and an estimated range of 350-450 km. “Mustang Mach-E represents a landmark moment for us,” said Kay Hart, President of Ford’s International Markets Group.
- 2025 Territory Hybrid: The popular Ford Territory, the best-selling nameplate in the Middle East, will arrive in a hybrid version in 2025, combining electric power with a traditional combustion engine to boost fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance.
- 2025 Expedition Tremor: The latest Expedition model is built for power and off-road capability, featuring intelligent 4WD, a Terrain Management System, and Rock Crawl mode, making it suitable for the challenging terrains of the GCC.
In addition to new vehicles, Ford is focusing on connected services to enrich the ownership experience. FordPass, set to launch in 2025, will be rolled out first in the UAE, followed by Saudi Arabia, offering services such as remote start, cabin pre-cooling, and online booking options. “FordPass will connect you to your Ford like never before – in a way that puts the ownership experience right in the palm of your hand,” Hart added.
The Ford Middle East strategy also includes the establishment of a new parts distribution center in the UAE, set to open in January 2025, aimed at reducing wait times for service parts and improving customer satisfaction. “Customers in today’s increasingly connected world expect personalized treatment,” noted Ravichandran. “We are reimagining every part of a customer’s journey to empower and simplify their lives.”
Ford‘s efforts to cater to the growing market needs demonstrate a clear commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. The new lineup and connected services position Ford as a formidable player in the Middle Eastern market, committed to helping customers adapt to the future of mobility.
