Formula E’s Expanding Global Appeal
The Mexico City E-Prix and São Paulo’s Season 11 opener demonstrate the rising global popularity of Formula E. Aarti Dabas, Chief Media Officer of Formula E, attributed the success to new and existing broadcast partnerships that have amplified the championship’s reach.
“This strong start to the 11th season, with our new and existing broadcast partnerships delivering record audiences, is a testament to our accelerated fan growth and the exciting racing spectacle put on by our elite drivers in their new cutting-edge GEN3 Evo cars. With 14 more races to come, we are firmly on track to deliver our biggest season ever and take our racing spectacle to more fans than ever before.”
Formula E Partners with IMG for Video Archives
Formula E also announced a multi-year partnership with IMG to exclusively manage and license its extensive video archive. The deal grants IMG control over more than 1,000 hours of footage, including races, qualifying sessions, and behind-the-scenes content since the series’ inception in 2014.
With one of the largest sports archives globally, IMG manages content from The Premier League, Wimbledon, UFC, Bundesliga, and more. This new partnership ensures Formula E’s historic moments and innovations remain accessible to fans, partners, and media outlets worldwide.
Formula E continues to establish itself as a premier motorsport series, bringing high-stakes electric racing to audiences worldwide and accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility.
