Genesis Unveils US-Built Electrified GV70, Priced at $65,850

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. – Luxury automaker Genesis has unveiled the U.S. pricing and packaging for its first-ever 2023 Electrified GV70. The 2023 Electrified GV70 marks the third EV from Genesis, succeeding the GV60 SUV and the Electrified G80 executive sedan launched last year. The GV70 also has the distinction of being the first Genesis model assembled in the U.S., with the manufacturing taking place at the brand’s Montgomery, Alabama facility.

Built on the award-winning GV70 platform, the Electrified GV70 boasts a spacious and luxurious interior, with refined performance and a range of electric vehicle-exclusive technologies. Genesis has committed to launching all-electric models by 2025, with its entire vehicle lineup to be fully electric by 2030, as it aims to achieve carbon neutrality across its operations by 2035.

Claudia Marquez, COO of Genesis Motor North America, said, “The Electrified G70 represents two important milestones as we continue on our journey toward full electrification by 2030. We are pleased to not only be growing our electric product portfolio, but also to be assembling Genesis products right here in America for the very first time.”

The Electrified GV70 comes in two versions, the Advanced AWD and the Prestige AWD. The former carries a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $65,850, which already includes an extensive suite of standard equipment and technologies, such as the full range of available safety and advanced driver assistance systems. The Advanced AWD also features a 12.3-inch digital cluster and navigation system, vehicle-to-load charging, and more.

Meanwhile, the Prestige AWD variant, priced at an MSRP of $72,650, offers more premium features, including Nappa leather seating surfaces, a leatherette-wrapped upper instrument panel, microfiber suede headliner, head-up display, a 3D instrument cluster, premium audio, active noise control – road, heated 2nd row seats and steering wheel, and manual read door shades.

Genesis’ commitment to full electrification is aimed at not only offering high-quality EVs to its customers but also at playing a role in reducing carbon emissions and preserving the environment.
