Harbinger’s CEO, John Harris, praised the team’s creativity and diligence, noting, “Completing production of 100 chassis is an important achievement for Harbinger.” He emphasized that the company waited to announce the production start until reaching this volume, highlighting its impact on customers and the industry.

The vehicles, built in Garden Grove, California, feature a stripped chassis designed for medium-duty applications such as walk-in vans, box trucks, and RVs. This chassis integrates all major systems, including the electric drivetrain and high-voltage battery, with Harbinger standing out as the only truck manufacturer producing its drivetrains in-house. This approach keeps costs competitive while ensuring quality. After assembly, customers or dealers partner with third parties to customize the chassis, a common practice in the medium-duty sector.

The company’s growth is bolstered by an order book of 4,690 vehicles, valued at roughly $500 million, and a recent $100 million Series B funding round. These funds will scale production and support plans to add 100 new employees in 2025. Extensive testing in Arizona and New Zealand further demonstrates Harbinger’s commitment to reliability.

Founded in 2021, Harbinger aims to revolutionize commercial EVs with a purpose-built platform.
