Honda introduces the 2025 CR-V e:FCEV, marking a significant step towards zero-emission mobility in America. This innovative vehicle boasts a 270-mile EPA driving range and combines a new U.S.-made fuel cell system with plug-in charging capability. It offers an impressive blend of power, interior space, and cargo capacity, setting a new benchmark for fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).

The CR-V e:FCEV, being the first of its kind produced in America, emphasizes Honda’s commitment to advancing green technology. It supports EV driving for daily commutes with up to 29 miles of electric range and facilitates longer journeys with quick hydrogen refueling options.

Mamadou Diallo, senior vice president of Auto Sales at American Honda Motor Co., highlighted the CR-V e:FCEV’s role in achieving Honda’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. He reiterated Honda’s strategy to transition to 100% zero-emission vehicle sales by 2040, showcasing the company’s dedication to environmental sustainability.

Slated for customer leasing in California later this year, the CR-V e:FCEV comes loaded with features. It includes HondaLink® for easy access to hydrogen station information and charging data, and the Honda Power Supply Connector, which can power small appliances with up to 1,500 watts of clean energy.

Honda’s journey with hydrogen fuel cell technology began two decades ago with the Honda FCX, and the CR-V e:FCEV continues this legacy. Manufactured in Ohio, it’s the only FCEV passenger vehicle made in the U.S., offering advanced fuel cell technology developed in collaboration with General Motors. This partnership has significantly reduced costs and improved the system’s durability and performance.

The CR-V e:FCEV doesn’t compromise on style or comfort, featuring a modern design with a spacious and sophisticated interior. It comes equipped with a plethora of standard features, including digital instrumentation, a touchscreen display, and wireless connectivity options, ensuring a premium and convenient driving experience.

Honda’s commitment to safety and sustainability is evident in the CR-V e:FCEV. It embodies the company’s “Triple Action to Zero” approach, focusing on carbon neutrality, resource circulation, and clean energy usage. Honda is not only innovating within the automotive sector but also exploring hydrogen’s potential across various industries, including stationary power stations and construction machinery.

The 2025 Honda CR-V e:FCEV represents a bold step forward in Honda’s journey towards a greener future. Its combination of innovative technology, sustainability, and practicality sets a new standard for the automotive industry, paving the way for a zero-emission society.
