Humax Launches Global Commercial EV Chargers

Humax, a total mobility platform provider, has announced the launch of its commercial EV charger line-up for the global market. This move follows the company’s recent entry into the home EV charger industry, building on its extensive experience as a charging point operator (CPO) in Korea and its broad international network.

Key Highlights:

  • Global market entry for commercial EV chargers
  • Products certified by OCPP for smart charging
  • New charger line-up revealed at The Smarter E Europe
  • Strategic partnership with HeyCharge
  • Features include LCD touch screens and LED indicators
  • Plans to supply chargers to Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America

The new product line-up, designed to meet diverse commercial needs from slow to fast chargers, was showcased at The Smarter E Europe 2024 in Munich. This event, Europe’s largest energy industry exhibition, provided a platform for Humax to display its full range of commercial and home EV chargers and forge strategic partnerships to enhance its market position.

A notable development is Humax’s strategic partnership with HeyCharge, a German EV charging technology company. This collaboration aims to develop next-generation EV charging stations, targeting urban multi-family homes and office buildings where charging infrastructure is often inadequate.

Humax’s commercial chargers are certified by OCPP, ensuring international communication standards are met. These chargers support smart charging and two-channel simultaneous charging, featuring LCD touch screens and LED indicators to monitor charging status effectively.

Humax’s chargers are tailored to provide appropriate charging speeds for various commercial environments, including public housing, highway charging stations, shopping malls, and offices. This strategy aims to create business opportunities in multiple markets as global electric vehicle distribution rates rise.

Following the introduction of ‘Turu Charger’, a CPO brand operated by Humax, the company plans to supply commercial chargers to Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America. In Korea, Humax has already built and delivered over 18,000 EV chargers.

Jeff Kim, president of Humax, stated, “Having successfully launched home EV chargers in Europe, Humax will enter the global commercial EV charger market with a diverse line-up of fast and slow chargers to provide electric vehicle users with a hassle-free driving experience anytime, anywhere.”
