The Hyundai IONIQ 5 has achieved the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the greatest altitude change by an electric car. Covering a journey of over 4,900 kilometers across India, the vehicle demonstrated its robust performance by logging an altitude change of 5,802 meters, starting at Umling La in Ladakh and finishing in Kuttanad, Kerala.

This feat, organized by Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) and carried out by a professional team from Evo India, underscores Hyundai’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric mobility. The journey not only showcased the IONIQ 5’s resilience but also its ability to tackle diverse and challenging terrains across India.
The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which enables exceptional performance and range. Equipped with a 72.6 kWh battery, the vehicle combines futuristic design with cutting-edge technology. This includes advanced safety features and innovative smart technologies, offering a versatile and exhilarating driving experience.
