Hyundai Launches Evolve+: A New Electric Vehicle Subscription Service for the Modern Driver

CHICAGO – Hyundai Motor America and Hyundai Capital America have jointly announced the launch of their new Evolve+ electric vehicle (EV) subscription service at the 2023 Chicago Auto Show. The subscription service provides customers with the flexibility and affordability to drive Hyundai’s latest EVs without committing to a purchase or longer-term lease.

The Evolve+ service is a month-to-month subscription that covers up to 1,000 miles, insurance, maintenance, registration, and road-side assistance. The starting price for the service is $699 per month for a Kona Electric and $899 per month for an IONIQ 5. Unlike other subscription services that require customers to lock into a minimum term, Evolve+ offers customers the option to cancel at any time during their subscription period.

The Evolve+ service is currently available at select dealerships in six states and plans to expand to more locations by the end of the year. Customers can easily find available dealers through the app.

The complete package offered by Evolve+ is priced competitively compared to a traditional lease or purchase, and it is much less expensive than a daily car rental. If customers like their experience and want to make a long-term commitment, they can choose to lease or purchase the vehicle from the Hyundai dealer.

The Evolve+ service provides customers with a unique digital buying experience. Customers can select their vehicle and payment terms through a custom app and simply go to the dealership to pick up their vehicle. The stress-free delivery experience eliminates the need for negotiation.

Hyundai Evolve+ has been built in partnership with its dealers, providing customers with the benefit of working with a respected local business responsible for the vehicle’s initial condition and maintenance. To get started, customers can download the Evolve+ app from Google Play or the Apple Store to their smartphone, search for a vehicle by price and zip code, select a model from the inventory, and choose a monthly term that can easily be renewed. The payment for the subscription can be made using a credit card, which reserves the vehicle for pickup at the dealership.
