Design and Comfort
The NEXO embodies Hyundai’s “Art of Steel” design language, characterized by bold lines and a sturdy, sophisticated look. This aesthetic reflects strength and adaptability, appealing to both urban and outdoor lifestyles. Inside, the spacious cabin prioritizes comfort with first-row Relaxation Seats featuring leg rests, increased luggage capacity of up to 993 liters, and sustainable materials like bio-leather and recycled fabrics. Smart storage solutions and a driver-centric curved display enhance practicality and convenience.
Performance and Efficiency
The NEXO’s upgraded powertrain achieves a total output of 190 kW, with the hydrogen fuel cell stack providing 110 kW—a 16% boost from its predecessor. This results in a swift 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.8 seconds. Enhanced fuel efficiency, increased hydrogen storage (now 6.69 kg), and aerodynamic improvements ensure longer range and better performance. Notably, the NEXO is the first FCEV to offer towing capability, up to 1,000 kg in European models, adding to its versatility.

Safety and Technology
Safety remains paramount, with the NEXO equipped with advanced driver-assist systems like Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Following Assist, alongside a robust structure targeting top safety ratings. Innovative features include the FCEV Route Planner for efficient hydrogen station navigation and the ccNC infotainment system, offering over-the-air updates and AI voice recognition. Additional tech highlights include a digital side mirror system and a vehicle-to-load function for powering external devices.
Hyundai’s Vision
Set for global release later in 2025, the NEXO underscores Hyundai’s commitment to hydrogen mobility and its broader goal of becoming a smart mobility solutions provider. By integrating cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices, Hyundai continues to lead the charge in zero-emission transportation.
