Fleet Operations and Infrastructure
A&S Transportation operates the electric fleet with support from Highland Electric Fleets through its Electrification-as-a-Service (EaaS) model. The deployment replaces traditional diesel buses while maintaining service across 58 daily routes.
The IC Bus Type C electric school buses are supported by a dedicated charging facility featuring seven Kempower C800 power cabinets. The system provides 52 total charge ports through satellite dispensers, enabling overnight charging and operational flexibility.

Funding Structure
The project received funding through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean School Bus Program, supplemented by available federal tax credits. Highland’s service model allows InspireNOLA Charter Schools to deploy the electric fleet without additional upfront capital costs.
