Key Highlights:
- NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V633000
- Affected Vehicles: 2019 Jaguar I-PACE
- Components Involved: High-voltage battery and associated electrical systems
- Total Units Affected: 2,760
Details of the Recall:
Jaguar Land Rover is recalling specific 2019 I-PACE vehicles due to the potential for the high-voltage battery to overheat, creating a risk of fire. Owners are advised to park and charge their vehicles outside and away from structures until the recall repair is completed and for 30 days after the repair.
As an interim solution, dealers will update the battery energy control module software at no cost to the owners. However, the final remedy is still under development. Jaguar plans to send out owner notification letters by October 18, 2024. These vehicles were previously recalled under one or more different recall numbers, including 24V-085 (H471), 23V-709 (H459), or 23V-369 (H441), and will require the new remedy to be applied.
