FCA US LLC has announced a recall of approximately 154,032 plug-in hybrid SUVs in the United States due to a potential fire risk. The affected models include certain 2020-2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe vehicles. An internal investigation revealed 13 incidents of fires occurring in parked, turned-off vehicles, prompting the company to take immediate action.

Vehicle risk is reduced when the battery charge level is depleted. Accordingly, owners are advised to avoid recharging their vehicles.
