With this new access, Kia EV owners can utilize the Tesla Supercharger network, known for its reliability and speed. This addition increases the total number of DC fast chargers available to Kia customers to over 40,000, combining the existing 22,000 chargers with the Tesla network.

Kia EVs equipped with NACS charging ports, such as the 2025 model year EV6 and the 2026 model year EV9, can directly use the Tesla Superchargers. For existing Kia EVs with CCS1 charging ports, Kia America has made NACS to CCS1 adapters available through its dealers.

To use the Tesla Superchargers, Kia EV owners need to enroll in the Kia Charge Pass program via the Kia Access app. The app also allows users to search, locate, and navigate to available charging stations, check charger availability, status, and pricing.

Kia America emphasized its commitment to providing an exceptional ownership experience for EV customers. The company also condemned recent attacks on Tesla Superchargers, stating that such actions disrupt the availability of convenient and affordable charging.

This collaboration between Kia and Tesla marks a significant step in the EV industry, as it promotes interoperability and expands charging infrastructure. By allowing Kia EV owners to use Tesla Superchargers, both companies are contributing to the growth of the EV market and making electric vehicles more appealing to a broader audience.

Kia offers a range of electric vehicles, including the EV6 and EV9, designed to meet the needs of modern drivers. With access to a vast network of fast chargers, Kia aims to enhance the ownership experience and encourage more consumers to switch to electric mobility.

Additionally, Kia America addressed marketing posts by certain Nordic distributors, clarifying that these initiatives were independent and do not reflect the position of Kia America, Kia Europe, or Kia Global. The company reiterated its commitment to clear and professional communication.

Kia continues to invest in electrification and sustainable mobility. The company plans to introduce more electric models in the coming years, further solidifying its position as a leader in the EV market.
