The EV6 ‘Air’ Standard Range features a 63.0kWh battery, delivering a range of up to 265 miles per the WLTP combined cycle, or 400 miles in city conditions. This makes it a practical choice for daily drives and occasional road trips. Its smaller battery keeps costs down while maintaining solid performance.
This model doesn’t skimp on tech. Built on Kia’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), it includes an 800V charging system that can juice up from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes using a 350kW charger. A single rear motor powers this rear-wheel-drive vehicle, offering a 0-to-62mph time of 8.7 seconds and a top speed of 115mph. At 1,955kg, it’s lighter than other EV6 variants and can tow up to 750kg.
Inside, the EV6 ‘Air’ mirrors its pricier siblings with a roomy cabin and premium touches. Standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated seats and steering wheel, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen navigation system. Buyers can pick from colors like Runway Red or Glacier White, with premium paint options at an extra £675.
With a lower insurance group (29E), it’s cheaper to insure too. Orders are open now, with deliveries starting in late May. Kia’s renowned 7-year warranty adds extra value, making the EV6 ‘Air’ a smart pick for cost-savvy EV shoppers.
