Leasys and the European Investment Bank have signed a financing agreement to deploy 24,000 zero-emission vehicles across Europe. The Pan-European Clean Fleet Transport project represents a €600 million investment, with each party contributing €300 million equally.
Highlights
- €600 million investment splits equally between Leasys and the EIB to fund zero-emission fleet deployment
- 24,000 electric vehicles will be distributed across 10 European countries including Italy, France, Germany, Spain, and Portugal
- First partnership between Leasys and the EIB targets accelerated EV adoption for corporate and private customers
- Environmental goals focus on emissions reduction, improved air quality, and reduced urban noise levels
Fleet Deployment Strategy
The initiative expands Leasys’ electric vehicle offerings to both corporate and private customers across key European markets. Fleet performance targets exceed current market averages, according to the companies.
The project also aims to support Europe’s clean-mobility value chain development and foster broader EV adoption across participating markets.
Executive Statements
Andrea Bandinelli, CEO of Leasys, said the agreement accelerates deployment of a modern, competitive, and fully electric fleet across Europe. He noted the financing enables more effective response to growing zero-emission mobility demand from businesses and private drivers.
EIB Vice-President Ambroise Fayolle emphasized that rental and leasing companies manage millions of vehicles and regularly refresh their fleets, positioning them to drive electrification. Supporting companies like Leasys accelerates EU electrification efforts, he added.
