Jaecoo has expanded its UK range with two new variants of the Jaecoo 7 SUV: a blacked-out plug-in hybrid trim and the brand’s first full-hybrid model. Both models will be available to order from May 2026 across the brand’s 122-dealer UK network.
Highlights
- The Jaecoo 7 SHS-H is the brand’s first full-hybrid model, starting at £29,195 OTR in Pure specification and £32,795 in Deluxe trim.
- The Jaecoo 7 SHS-P Black Luxury adds a blacked-out exterior and interior treatment to the plug-in hybrid, priced from £36,500 OTR.
- Jaecoo has registered more than 35,000 vehicles in the UK since launch, with the Jaecoo 7 ranking as the fifth best-selling car in February 2026.
- Plug-in hybrid variants accounted for over 70% of all Jaecoo 7 sales in 2025.

Full-Hybrid Powertrain Details
The SHS-H pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a self-charging hybrid system. It produces 224 PS and reaches 0–62 mph in 8.3 seconds, with a top speed of 112 mph. CO₂ emissions sit at 125 g/km, and Jaecoo claims extra-urban fuel economy of 53 mpg under WLTP testing.
The 1.5-litre unit uses several efficiency-focused technologies. These include Deep Miller Cycle combustion, intelligent turbocharging, and an advanced thermal management system. Jaecoo states the engine achieves a thermal efficiency of 44.5%.
SHS-H Trim Levels
The Pure grade comes with tweed cloth upholstery, a 13.2-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a refrigerated center console, dual-zone climate control, and front and rear parking sensors.
The Deluxe model adds eco-leather upholstery, a larger 14.8-inch infotainment screen, and an upgraded 8-speaker sound system, among other features.

Black Luxury Edition Styling
The SHS-P Black Luxury applies a full black treatment to the plug-in hybrid in top-tier Luxury specification. Exterior changes include a black front grille, black logo suite, black mirrors, roof, wheels, and roof rails. A black “Luxury” badge sits on the C-pillar.
Interior details include a black headliner and sun visors. The model shares the same mechanical underpinnings as the standard SHS-P.
UK Market Performance
Jaecoo has recorded more than 35,000 registrations since entering the UK market. In February 2026, the brand sold 1,446 Jaecoo 7 units across all powertrains. That figure made it the fifth most popular car sold in the UK that month.
Victor Zhang, Managing Director of Jaecoo UK, said the new models reflect the brand’s focus on expanding choice. He noted the full-hybrid SHS-H opens up electrified performance at a competitive price, while the Black Luxury edition adds visual distinction to the existing range.
All Jaecoo 7 variants are covered by a seven-year, 100,000-mile warranty. One year of complimentary RAC breakdown cover is included as standard.
