LEVC, historically renowned for its premium taxi production, marks a pivotal shift in its corporate trajectory with the commencement of manufacturing for its inaugural fully electric model, the L380 luxury MPV. This transition signals LEVC’s expansion into a global leader in electric mobility solutions.

The L380, an embodiment of luxury and versatility, represents the first vehicle leveraging the innovative Space Oriented Architecture (SOA). Developed in collaboration with the Geely Holding Group, SOA heralds a new era in vehicle range, efficiency, safety, charging time, and connectivity for LEVC.

January 25th witnessed the roll-out of the first L380 prototype from the assembly line in Yiwu, China. This event underscores the strategic enhancements in LEVC’s manufacturing capabilities, tailored to meet futuristic industrial demands. The Yiwu facility, complementing the Ansty, Coventry plant, exemplifies LEVC’s commitment to embracing intelligent manufacturing techniques.

The L380’s launch, initially in China with a UK debut planned within two years, is a critical component of LEVC’s transformation into a comprehensive e-mobility brand. This shift aligns with the company’s century-long legacy of catering to urban transportation needs with purpose-built solutions.

Alex Nan, CEO of LEVC, articulated the significance of this milestone, emphasizing LEVC’s integration within the Geely Holding Group. This synergy aims to harness Geely’s research, development, and manufacturing prowess, propelling LEVC towards a global presence in over 40 countries. The L380, Nan notes, is not just a new product but a manifestation of LEVC’s future vision, amalgamating historical values with Geely’s technological innovation.

The L380, equipped with diverse seating configurations, sets new standards in interior flexibility and green mobility.
