  • Built at the Motomachi Plant in Japan, emphasizing quality and innovation.

RZ 300e Overview

The RZ 300e features a 72.8 kWh lithium-ion battery from Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL), offering 201 horsepower in a front-wheel drive (FWD) configuration. The EPA-estimated range is 266 miles with 18-inch wheels, reducing slightly to 224 miles with 20-inch wheels. The inclusion of a subframe in place of the rear eAxle helps reduce vibrations and noise, maintaining Lexus’s signature quiet ride.

RZ 450e AWD Performance

The RZ 450e AWD utilizes the DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system first seen in the 2023 Lexus RX, featuring a rear eAxle that balances torque between front and rear wheels. The powertrain, developed by Prime Planet Energy & Solutions (PPES), offers a total 308 horsepower, reaching 0-60 mph in just 5.0 seconds. It has an EPA-estimated range of 220 miles with 18-inch wheels and 196 miles with 20-inch wheels. DIRECT4 allows for optimal torque distribution, enhancing driving stability and control.

Innovative Platform for a Smooth Ride

The e-TNGA platform provides a lightweight, high-rigidity structure for the 2025 RZ. By utilizing high-tensile steel and an aluminum hood, the vehicle achieves a low center of gravity, which enhances stability and handling. Frequency Reactive Dampers (FRD) and a front MacPherson strut suspension are key contributors to the vehicle’s smooth driving performance and comfort.

Braking and Steering Technology

The Active Hydraulic Booster-G (AHB-G) system enhances braking with regenerative motor capabilities that not only reduce speed but improve vehicle posture. The Electric Power Steering (EPS) system also reduces the effort needed for steering, ensuring a precise and responsive driving experience.

Design and Aerodynamics

The Lexus spindle body design replaces the traditional grille, giving the RZ a distinctive look that is aerodynamic and functional. The roof spoiler and shaped trunk reduce aerodynamic drag, while an illuminated front emblem displays charging status and integrates seamlessly into the overall design.

Interior Features and Technology

The RZ continues the Lexus tradition of a minimalist, luxurious cabin with tazuna-inspired controls and an available panorama glass roof for an open feel. Equipped with five USB ports, a 14-inch touchscreen, and cloud navigation, the vehicle is designed for modern connectivity. The NuLuxe® trim interior provides a sustainable luxury option, while the Luxury grade features an Ultrasuede® trim.

Charging Solutions and Owner Benefits

The 2025 Lexus RZ includes a dual-voltage charging cable compatible with both 120V and 240V outlets, allowing for flexible at-home or on-the-go charging. Lexus also partners with ChargePoint® to offer home charging solutions. Lexus Reserve, a complimentary rental service, continues to provide added value for RZ customers, offering 30 days of free rentals over the first three years of ownership.

The 2025 RZ models deliver a blend of performance, innovation, and luxury that defines Lexus‘ approach to the electric vehicle market. With multiple options catering to different driving needs, the 2025 Lexus RZ is positioned to meet the growing demand for premium battery-electric vehicles.
