Accelerating the Development Cycle

Longbow’s “Speed of Lightness” philosophy redefines traditional automotive engineering timelines. By leveraging more than 15 years of EV experience, the founders condensed the typical 18-month OEM process into half the time—without compromising on quality or validation. The milestone demonstrates a new model for agile, design-led vehicle creation in the EV era.

All Longbow models, including the Speedster and forthcoming Roadster, will be engineered and hand-assembled in the UK. The company’s London-based unveiling brought together early customers, investors, and partners—collectively referred to as “Guild members”—to celebrate this manufacturing breakthrough.

A Modern Take on the Classic British Sports Car

The Longbow Speedster revives Britain’s lightweight sports car tradition, offering a driver-focused, all-electric experience. Inspired by icons like the Lotus Elise and Jaguar E-Type, the Speedster blends nostalgia with next-generation technology.

Its bespoke aluminium chassis delivers exceptional rigidity while keeping total weight to just 895 kg. A compact electric motor paired with module-to-chassis battery integration gives the car both low mass and structural efficiency—establishing the world’s first Featherweight Electric Vehicle.

Performance figures include a 0–62 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a WLTP range of 275 miles. The open-top Speedster will be followed by the closed-roof Roadster, priced from £64,995 (incl. VAT).

“Timeless Blueprint with a Twist”

“Speedster seems to have struck a chord with enthusiasts,” said Daniel Davey, Co-Founder and CEO at Longbow. “It’s a timeless blueprint with a twist—the market was missing something like this. Delivering a dynamic demonstrator in just six months truly embodies our Speed of Lightness philosophy.”

Reservations for both models are now open via longbowmotors.com.
