GM EV Drivers Reach 250,000+ Public Chargers

General Motors says its EV drivers can now reach more than 250,000 public chargers across North America, the result of investments in the Pilot Flying J, EVgo, ChargePoint, and IONNA networks.

General Motors says its EV drivers can now reach more than 250,000 public chargers across North America. The automaker credits a network grown through its investments in Pilot Flying J, EVgo, ChargePoint, and IONNA, which it reports now totals more than 4,533 stalls at 844 sites in major metropolitan areas and along highway travel corridors. GM Energy frames the expanded access as a way to make long-distance EV travel more practical, pairing fast-charging stops with nearby attractions along common routes.

How Many Chargers Can GM EV Drivers Use?

The 250,000-charger figure reflects the total public charging GM EV drivers can access across North America, not stalls the company owns directly. GM attributes its growing public charging network to investments across four operators, a footprint it puts at more than 4,533 stalls at 844 sites. GM Energy’s collaboration with Pilot Company and EVgo supports highway-corridor sites such as the Pilot Travel Center near Crater Lake in Chemult, Oregon, while IONNA’s expanding fast-charging network adds locations in markets including Apex, North Carolina, and Daytona Beach, Florida.
