The Mazda6e achieved 93% in Adult Occupancy, earning maximum points in the side barrier test and offering good or adequate protection across all critical body areas in the side pole impact test. The far side airbag effectively reduced occupant-to-occupant injuries, while head restraints provided strong whiplash protection during rear-end collisions.

In the Child Occupancy category, the Mazda6e again scored 93%, achieving full marks in crash tests involving six- and ten-year-old dummies for both frontal and lateral impacts. The Child Restraint System (CRS) Installation Check also received perfect marks, and the Occupancy Monitoring System—which alerts drivers not to leave children unattended—earned additional praise.

For Vulnerable Road Users, the model provided mostly good or adequate protection for pedestrians and cyclists. The autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and Lane Support systems received maximum scores for motorcyclist protection, while the door-opening warning feature helped secure an overall 74% rating in this category.

The Mazda6e’s advanced ADAS suite played a key role in achieving a 77% Safety Assist score. The AEB system responded effectively to other vehicles, the Driver Status Monitor detected fatigue and distraction, and lane support and speed assistance systems maintained smooth and safe operation in various conditions.

Beyond active safety, the Mazda6e benefits from a low center of gravity, 47:53 weight distribution, and driver-focused cockpit designed around Mazda’s human-machine interface (HMI) philosophy. Together, these elements ensure the Mazda6e delivers a refined, confident, and safe electric driving experience.

The all-new Mazda6e will arrive in the UK in the first half of 2026, marking the next chapter in Mazda’s EV journey across Europe.
