Advanced Charging Infrastructure

The new charging hub in Wernberg-Köblitz is designed to provide a premium and convenient experience for all EV drivers. It features six charging points, each capable of delivering up to 400 kW of power, significantly reducing charging times. The stations are designed for barrier-free access and are situated in a spacious park.

The design incorporates distinctive Mercedes-Benz brand elements, such as the iconic 3D chrome star, to create a high-quality ambiance. A dynamic LED light strip indicates the status of the charger, and the facility is complemented by a wide range of dining, shopping, and service options available at the 24-Autohof.

“Our cooperation brings innovation, reliability and the highest level of comfort to the travel and charging experience at the central main traffic hubs in Germany,” said Michael Springmann, CEO of Mercedes-Benz High Power Charging Europe.

Exclusive Benefits for Mercedes-Benz Drivers

While the charging parks are accessible to drivers of all car brands, Mercedes-Benz customers enjoy special advantages. Their vehicles’ navigation systems can display the precise location and real-time availability of charging points. This data is integrated into the Navigation with Electric Intelligence feature, which calculates an optimal route that includes necessary charging stops.

A key benefit for Mercedes-Benz drivers is the ability to reserve a charging point exclusively in advance, ensuring availability upon arrival. Authentication at the station is seamless through the vehicle’s MBUX multimedia system, the Mercedes me app, or via Plug & Charge technology for compatible models.

A Broader Electrification Strategy

This partnership is a significant part of Mercedes-Benz’s global electrification strategy. The company plans to build out its own charging network, with a goal of establishing more than 10,000 high-power charging points worldwide by the end of the decade. The collaboration with an established partner like 24-Autohöfe, which has been repeatedly named Germany’s best truck stop chain, strengthens this initiative. Dr. Jessica Böse, managing partner at 24-Autohöfe, noted the partnership sets “new standards in terms of customer comfort, variety of offers and future orientation.”
