MG Motor UK has confirmed the immediate availability of the all-new MGS6 EV, expanding its electric vehicle lineup in the C-SUV segment. This model utilizes the Modular Scalable Platform and offers options for both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations powered by a 77 kWh battery.

Powertrain and Performance
The MGS6 EV is available in three variants: SE Long Range, Trophy Long Range, and Trophy Dual Motor. All models utilize a 77 kWh battery. The rear-wheel-drive SE and Trophy Long Range models feature a single motor producing 180 kW (244 PS) and 350 Nm of torque.
These configurations achieve a WLTP combined range of 329 miles and accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 7.3 seconds. The lineup concludes with the all-wheel-drive Trophy Dual Motor variant.
This performance model increases output to 266 kW (361 PS) with 540 Nm of torque, achieving 0 to 62 mph in 5.1 seconds. The dual-motor version offers a WLTP range of 301 miles.
Charging and Efficiency
Thermal management and efficiency are supported by an Active Grille Shutter System and aerodynamic design elements, resulting in a drag coefficient of 0.27. The vehicle supports DC rapid charging, enabling a 10 to 80 percent charge in 38 minutes.
The system supports a maximum DC charging speed of 144 kW. Drivers can utilize five distinct drive modes and five regeneration modes, including a One-Pedal driving option to optimize energy recovery.
Platform and Safety Specifications
The vehicle rests on MG’s Modular Scalable Platform, featuring an ultra-thin 110mm horizontal cell battery design. Safety architecture includes a body constructed with over 80 percent high-strength steel.
The MGS6 EV secured a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating, scoring 92 percent for adult occupants. Standard safety equipment includes seven airbags and the MG Pilot suite of driver assistance technologies.
MG Pilot features include:
- Active Emergency Braking and blind spot detection.
- Intelligent speed limit assist and driver monitoring systems.
- MG Pilot Custom for storing preferred ADAS settings.
An integrated braking booster system, developed with Continental, allows for a braking distance of 36 meters from 62 mph.

The cabin offers a twin-screen layout comprising a 12.8-inch HD infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch driver display. Trophy models add a Head Up Display for navigation and vehicle data.
Cargo capacity includes a 674-liter trunk, expandable to 1,910 liters with rear seats folded. A front trunk (“frunk”) provides an additional 124 liters of storage.
