MINI closed 2025 with 288,290 vehicles delivered globally, marking a 17.7% increase over the prior year. The brand’s electric vehicle segment drove much of this momentum, with 105,535 fully electric MINIs reaching customers—an 87.9% increase compared to 2024. One in three MINIs sold worldwide is now battery electric.

Regional BEV Adoption Accelerates
Several markets now report electric MINI sales exceeding half of total volume. The Netherlands, Turkey, Sweden, and China all recorded BEV shares above 50%, signaling strong regional appetite for MINI’s electrified lineup.
“MINI continuously increases the share of fully electric vehicles, thereby demonstrating its innovative strength and future orientation,” said Jean-Philippe Parain, Head of the MINI brand. “Our strong volume growth across all regions in 2025 clearly reflects the exceptional appeal of the MINI model family.”
Countryman Leads Sales Growth
The MINI Countryman accounted for 32.4% of total brand volume, with 93,305 units delivered globally—a 15.2% year-over-year increase. The fully electric Countryman variant posted particularly strong results, with sales climbing 81.8% compared to 2024.
Cooper Family Performance
The MINI Cooper family, comprising the 3-Door, 5-Door, and Convertible, recorded 162,789 deliveries for a 10.3% increase over 2024. Individual model performance included:
- MINI Cooper 5-Door: 47,850 units (+26.5%)
- MINI Cooper Convertible: 22,491 units (+18.4%)
The Convertible, introduced as a new generation in 2025, contributed to the family’s overall growth trajectory.
John Cooper Works Sets Record
The performance-focused John Cooper Works sub-brand delivered 25,630 vehicles in 2025, a 59.5% increase that established a new sales record. JCW models now represent 8.9% of total MINI volume. The UK, Italy, Japan, and Australia each recorded their highest JCW sales figures to date.
Paul Smith Edition Arrives in 2026
MINI announced that the MINI Cooper 3-Door, 5-Door, and Convertible will be available in a new Paul Smith Edition starting in 2026. Both electric and combustion variants will offer the edition, which continues the brand’s collaboration with the British designer following the “MINI STRIP” (2021) and “MINI Recharged by Paul Smith” (2022) projects.
