Kia Named Best Manufacturer at TopGear.com EV Awards

Kia earned the Best Manufacturer title at the TopGear.com EV Awards 2026, with editors praising the consistent quality across its expanding UK electric vehicle lineup.

Kia has won the Best Manufacturer title at the TopGear.com EV Awards 2026. The UK-focused annual awards, now in their seventh year, recognize the top electric vehicles currently on sale in Britain.

Highlights

  • Kia took the Best Manufacturer award at the 2026 TopGear.com EV Awards, which celebrate the top EVs on sale in the UK.
  • TopGear.com editors cited consistency across Kia’s EV lineup, from the entry-level EV2 to the flagship EV9 GT.
  • The award follows Kia’s PV5 Passenger winning Family Car of the Year at the BBC TopGear.com Awards in November 2025.
  • Kia’s current EV range spans six production models: EV2, EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6, EV9, and PV5.

What TopGear.com Said

Ollie Kew, Deputy Editor at TopGear.com, pointed to a thread of quality running through the entire Kia EV portfolio. “Whether you’re in an EV3 or the enormous EV9, the sleek EV6, or the boxy PV5, there’s a familiar sortedness running through the e-Kias like the proverbial stick of rock,” Kew said. “Reliable range, unfussy performance, pleasing comfort…and the confidence to bookend its EV ranks with an entry-level EV2 alongside a super SUV in the shape of the EV9 GT.”

The award reflects how TopGear.com’s editors value breadth and consistency across a manufacturer’s lineup rather than strength in a single model.

A Growing EV Portfolio

Kia’s electric range now includes the EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6, EV9, and PV5. The newest addition, the EV2, represents the most compact and affordable model in the lineup. Designed, engineered, and manufactured in Europe, the EV2 targets buyers across the region. First customer deliveries are underway.

GT performance variants of the EV3, EV4, and EV5 are also planned for a later stage.

Continued UK Awards Momentum

Minsoo Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Brand and CX, said: “This award reflects the trust placed in Kia’s electric vehicles and recognizes the dedication of our global teams who continue to push boundaries in design, engineering, and customer experience.”

The EV Awards honor caps a strong run for Kia in UK automotive media. At the BBC TopGear.com Awards in November 2025, the PV5 Passenger won Family Car of the Year. Previous TopGear.com wins include Manufacturer of the Year (2022), EV6 Crossover of the Year (2021), EV9 Family Car of the Year (2023), and EV3 Crossover of the Year (2024).
