The program optimizes vehicle charging times in collaboration with local utility partners to create a more efficient and cleaner energy grid.

How The Program Works

The entire process is managed through the MINI App, where customers can enroll and monitor their incentives. Once a user plugs in their vehicle, ChargeForward automatically optimizes the charging schedule without requiring further action.
Program Benefits
Participants in the program can realize several key benefits. Customers earn financial rewards for enrolling in both the local utility and National Carbon Dividend programs. The system offers significant convenience, as optimized charging schedules are automatically sent to the vehicle, ensuring it is ready by the owner’s set departure time. Environmentally, participants actively reduce their carbon footprint by charging when grid emissions are at their lowest.

Eligible Models and Partners
The program is now available to owners of eligible MINI electrified models.
Eligible vehicles include:
- 2025 and newer MINI Countryman SE ALL4
- 2020-2024 MINI Cooper SE Hardtop 2 Door
- 2017-2024 Previous generation MINI Countryman PHEV
Current utility partners collaborating on this initiative include XCEL Energy, PSEG Long Island, Eversource, PSE, DTE, and SMUD.
