NIO recently introduced its upgraded Smart Electric Mid-Size Sedan, the ET5, and the Smart Electric Tourer, the ET5 Touring (ET5T), at Hefei Luogang Central Park. These models boast over 500 upgrades and are priced from RMB 298,000, with a reduced starting cost of RMB 228,000 through the Battery as a Service (BaaS) subscription. Building on their initial success since deliveries began in 2022 and 2023, respectively, these vehicles reflect NIO’s commitment to innovation and design excellence, delivering an elevated experience for users.

The ET5 and ET5T showcase a refined exterior with sculpted lines, a flowing roofline, and a raised hood complemented by muscular feature lines. New lighting elements and 20-inch Five-Spoke Blade Wheels enhance their sporty appeal. Nine body colors, including Twilight Glow and New Moon Silver, pair with five earth-toned interior themes, offering up to 45 color combinations.
Inside, a tech-forward cabin features a 15.6-inch AMOLED horizontal display with ultra-slim bezels, an 18.8-inch HD W-HUD, and an optional 8MP digital rearview mirror. The audio experience is elevated with a Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 Surround Sound system, while redesigned steering and console elements improve usability.

Comfort is prioritized with an 11-layer seat structure, enhanced lumbar support, and optimized rear legroom. Upgraded ventilation, heating, and massage functions add to the appeal. Double-layer silver-coated glass in the windshield and panoramic roof ensures superior sun protection and heat insulation.
The chassis, equipped with Continuous Damping Control and 4D Smart Suspension, delivers a smoother ride. The smart system, NT.Cedar S, supports advanced features like Navigate on Pilot Plus and all-model-based parking assist. Safety remains top-tier, with the ET5 earning a 96% occupant protection rating.
Deliveries begin next week in China, with a limited-time offer worth RMB 61,300. NIO’s CEO, William Li, highlighted 2025 as a pivotal year for technological and product advancements.
