Starting December 10, Nissan ARIYA drivers will gain access to over 17,800 Tesla Superchargers across the United States and Canada, expanding the NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network (NECN). With this addition, the NECN now includes more than 100,000 public chargers in the U.S. and 25,000 in Canada. Nissan is also launching an adapter to facilitate this connectivity.

Key Highlights:

  • Access to 17,800 Tesla Superchargers will be available starting December 10 for Nissan ARIYA drivers.
  • Nissan-provided North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter is required, priced at $235, and available for order through dealers or online.
  • EVs produced starting in 2025 for the U.S. and Canada will come with a built-in NACS port.
  • The NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network now features chargers from Tesla, Electrify America, Shell Recharge, ChargePoint, EVgo, and more.
  • MyNISSAN app enables ARIYA owners to locate, pay, and manage charging from multiple networks seamlessly.

Nissan ARIYA drivers will require a North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter kit to access Tesla’s Supercharger stations. This adapter kit, available for $235, can be ordered starting today either online through NissanUSA.com or through Nissan dealerships. Nissan also plans to equip their U.S. and Canadian market electric vehicles with a built-in NACS port beginning in 2025 for added convenience.

The NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network (NECN) doesn’t just rely on Tesla Superchargers. In the U.S., it also includes networks such as Electrify America, Shell Recharge, ChargePoint, and EVgo. Canadian users enjoy access to ChargeHub, Shell Recharge, FLO, ChargePoint, Circuit Electrique, BC Hydro, and IVY networks. This broad access ensures Nissan EV drivers have charging options across numerous network providers.

Nissan ARIYA owners can utilize the MyNISSAN app for simplified access to charging networks. The app allows drivers to search real-time charging station availability, monitor charging status, and handle payments seamlessly. The integrated functionality helps consolidate vehicle management and public charging into one platform. Once at a compatible in-network station, users can simply tap an on-screen button to initiate the charging session, using their stored payment method in the MyNISSAN app.

Currently, this feature is exclusive to ARIYA owners, with Nissan LEAF owners accessing charging locations through the NissanConnect EV and Services app. The availability and integration of the charging networks are aimed at making EV ownership more accessible and convenient for Nissan customers.
