Successful Launch and Market Reception

Launched on April 27, with deliveries beginning on May 15, the N7 has quickly captured consumer interest. The vehicle’s blend of comfort, brand reputation, and accessible pricing has been well-received. This success is particularly notable for attracting a new, younger demographic to Nissan, supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy in the region.

Vehicle Features and Pricing

Designed for young families who value both personal and family time, the N7 is equipped with features that prioritize comfort and advanced technology.

The sedan is available in three grades: Max, Pro, and Air. Customers can choose between two battery options, a 58kWh or a 73kWh battery, providing a maximum cruising range of up to 635km (based on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle). The N7 is priced from RMB 119,900 to 149,900 (approximately $17,000 to $21,000 USD).

Technological highlights include an advanced Navigate on Autopilot driver-assistant system, co-developed with autonomous driving technology leader Momenta. The interior features cutting-edge, zero-pressure seating with an AI-based adaptive posture system that adjusts based on sensor inputs for individual comfort.

Strategic Importance and Future Outlook

The N7 represents a new starting point for Dongfeng Nissan’s automotive lifestyle vision. To support its growing NEV lineup, the company is transforming its sales and service network. This includes establishing over 100 NEV-dedicated distribution centers and more than 500 order centers across China. The company has also created a new offline channel model that separates the ordering, delivery, and after-sales service processes for a more convenient customer experience.

Online, a dedicated app has been upgraded to allow customers to schedule maintenance, receive real-time updates, and interact with a community of fellow users. The success of the N7 in China is expected to strengthen Nissan‘s global performance, as the vehicle is confirmed for future export, further supporting the “Re:Nissan” recovery plan.
