ParkMobile, a top provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in North America, will launch a new electric mobility service provider (eMSP) service later in 2025. This service, powered by Parkopedia, enables drivers and fleet managers to locate and pay for EV charging stations using the ParkMobile app or in-vehicle headunits.

Key Highlights

  • Launch of a new eMSP service by ParkMobile in North America.
  • Powered by Parkopedia’s technology and data.
  • Serves both individual and fleet EV drivers.
  • Combines parking and charging payments for ease.
  • Provides cost savings and efficiency for fleets.
  • Set to roll out later in 2025.

How It Works

The eMSP service taps into Parkopedia’s deep expertise in EV charging and in-car payments. It pairs this with ParkMobile’s robust payment system, creating a smooth experience for users. Drivers can access charging options alongside ParkMobile’s existing parking services, which already serve 65 million users.

Benefits for Consumers

For everyday drivers, this service simplifies life by letting them pay for parking and charging through one account. A 2025 In-Car Payments User Experience Report found that 97% of US drivers want a single platform for such services. The system also finds the cheapest charging options across providers, a big plus as EV use grows.

Advantages for Fleet Managers

Fleet operators gain efficiency with this service. It integrates into their systems, helping optimize routes and cut costs by finding affordable charging spots. Combining parking and charging into one invoice streamlines billing. Plus, real-time charger data saves drivers time on the road.

Looking Ahead

Duncan Licence, Parkopedia’s Chief Product Officer, said, “This service adds value for drivers and fleets by merging our data with ParkMobile’s reach.” Scott Booker of EasyPark Group, ParkMobile’s parent company, noted, “It’s a big step as EV adoption rises.” This launch strengthens ParkMobile’s role in North America’s mobility landscape.
