Polestar Appoints Jonas Engström as COO

Polestar has announced the appointment of Jonas Engström as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his new role, Engström will focus on delivering Polestar’s expanding car programs and overseeing daily operations. He will also collaborate with Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller to implement the company’s strategy across all business areas.

  • Jonas Engström brings over 20 years of automotive experience to the role.
  • Previously served as Polestar’s Head of Product and Program, and most recently, Head of Operations.
  • Held senior leadership positions at Volvo Cars, including Head of Product Strategy.
  • Focus on executing Polestar’s growth strategies and operational excellence.

Michael Lohscheller, Polestar CEO, praised Engström, stating:
“With his unique combination of strong operational competence, strategic thinking and humble leadership, Jonas is the perfect fit for this role.”

Engström joined Polestar in 2021, and his proven leadership and expertise will be central to driving the company’s operational goals as it expands its product lineup and global presence.
