Polestar Space Opens on the Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Beach

Polestar today opened a retail location, known as a Polestar “Space,” in the prime location of Laguna Beach, California. Polestar South Coast is located at 305 North Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA, and will offer sales, service, and test drives of the Polestar 2 electric performance fastback. The Space will reach customers living throughout Orange County, a key national market for electric cars and the second-largest EV market by county in California.

“There is nowhere better in Orange County for us than Laguna Beach,” said Gregor Hembrough, Head of Polestar North America. “Being next to the Laguna Beach Art Museum and steps from the beach itself puts Polestar South Coast front and center, on the Pacific Coast Highway, in the vibrant heart of Orange County.”

Alongside the Polestar 1 electric performance hybrid and Polestar 2 electric performance fastback, the Polestar Precept will also be on display at Polestar South Coast through February. Given Polestar South Coast’s prime Laguna Beach location, Precept will be on display during the famed monthly Laguna Beach “First Thursdays” Art Walk. Precept was developed to preview the future of Polestar, embodying the company’s key competencies of design, sustainability and technology, and has received awards as a form of automotive art. Last year, the brand confirmed that Polestar Precept will go into production as the Polestar 5 – an electric performance 4-door GT set to be launched in 2024.

Polestar Spaces are already open in 15 states. The brand’s retail network is expected to grow to a total of 35 locations across the country by the end of 2022.

About – Polestar was established as a new, standalone Swedish premium electric vehicle manufacturer in 2017. Founded by Volvo Cars and Geely Holding, the brand enjoys specific technological and engineering synergies with Volvo Cars and benefits from significant economies of scale as a result.

It is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, and its vehicles are currently available and on the road in markets across Europe, North America, China, and Asia Pacific. By 2023, the company plans to be present in 30 global markets. Its cars are currently manufactured in two facilities in China, with additional future manufacturing planned in the USA.
