PowerGo has launched its largest ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging hub in Europe, strategically located along Denmark’s E20 highway. With seven 400-kilowatt chargers, this site allows fourteen vehicles to charge simultaneously. The hub is part of PowerGo’s ongoing efforts to expand its charging infrastructure, powered entirely by solar energy.

Key Highlights:

  • Location: Situated along the E20 highway, part of Europe’s TEN-T transport network.
  • Capacity: Seven 400-kilowatt chargers serving up to 14 vehicles simultaneously.
  • Green Energy: Charging is powered by 100% solar energy from PowerGo’s parent company, PowerField.
  • Accessibility: Six parking spaces for longer vehicles, including trailers and disability-adapted cars.
  • Expansion: PowerGo plans to install over 1,600 public charging points across Denmark.
  • Pricing: Transparent, dynamic pricing tied to the hourly electricity market.
  • Payment Options: EV drivers can pay via charging cards, credit/debit cards, or the PowerGo Charge app.
PowerGo Launches Its Largest EV Charging Hub

PowerGo’s Tender Manager, Frederikke Fog, emphasized the company’s goal of making EV charging more accessible: “We are working hard to ensure that EV drivers can charge their vehicles quickly, easily and conveniently on long journeys.”

This hub, located at Lillebælt Syd, follows a successful tender win with the Danish Road Directorate earlier this year. It further solidifies PowerGo’s role in enhancing public charging infrastructure across Europe.

Additionally, PowerGo’s dedication to accelerating the green transition has led to the company winning tenders for 1,600 more charging points in Denmark. Drivers at PowerGo hubs benefit from fair, transparent pricing and a range of payment options, enhancing the overall charging experience.

PowerGo remains committed to expanding its European network, with charging stations positioned at key traffic hubs. Their aim is to make green energy charging easy and accessible for all.
