Renault has unveiled its futuREady strategic plan, outlining a path to sell more than two million vehicles by 2030. The plan centers on 26 new product launches over the next four years, a new electric platform, and aggressive international expansion. The brand targets 100% electrified sales in Europe and 50% outside Europe by 2030.
Highlights
- New electric platform: The RGEV medium 2.0 architecture features 800V fast charging and up to 750 km WLTP range, with range-extender options reaching 1,400 km.
- 26 new models by 2030: 12 new products planned for Europe and 14 for international markets across five regional hubs.
- Hybrid commitment extended: Renault will maintain its full hybrid E-Tech lineup in Europe beyond 2030 as a bridge to full electrification.
- India as production hub: Four new models will be designed and built in India by 2030, including full-electric and hybrid variants.
European Strategy: 12 New Models
In Europe, Renault plans to strengthen its position in the A and B segments. The brand will build on recent launches including the New Clio, Renault 5 E-Tech electric, Renault 4 E-Tech electric, and the upcoming Twingo E-Tech electric.
The company is also preparing a second wave of C and D segment vehicles. These will feature next-generation electric and hybrid powertrains. Renault aims to improve affordability while maintaining a steady flow of new products in these higher segments.
RGEV Medium 2.0 Electric Platform
The next generation of C and D segment EVs will ride on the RGEV medium 2.0 platform. This modular architecture supports segments B+ through D and accommodates all body styles.
Three configurations will be available:
- Full electric: Up to 750 km WLTP range
- 4×4 electric: Towing capacity up to 2 tonnes
- Range extender: Total range up to 1,400 km
The platform uses 800V architecture for ultra-fast charging. Renault described it as designed for extended range and optimized efficiency.
Hybrid E-Tech Stays Beyond 2030
Renault confirmed its full hybrid E-Tech powertrain will remain in the European lineup past 2030. The company positioned the hybrid system as a proven solution for fuel consumption and CO₂ reduction. For many buyers, Renault said, it serves as a first step toward full electrification.
The brand also plans to deploy hybrid technology more broadly outside Europe as an alternative to diesel in several international markets.
Commercial Vehicle Electrification
Renault is accelerating its commercial vehicle EV strategy with the Trafic van E-Tech electric. This will be the brand’s first software-defined vehicle (SDV). It will also be the first to feature 800V fast-charging technology, offering a range of up to 450 km.
International Expansion Across Five Hubs
Renault sold 620,000 vehicles outside Europe in 2025, an 11% increase over 2024. The brand operates from five international hubs: Morocco, Türkiye, Latin America, South Korea, and India.
“We now rely on robust hubs in Morocco, Türkiye, Latin America, South Korea and India, where we already have strong industrial and commercial presence,” said Fabrice Cambolive, Chief Growth Officer at Renault Group and CEO of the Renault brand.
In addition to eight previously announced international products, including the Kardian, Duster, Grand Koleos, Boreal, and Filante, Renault plans 14 new models for international markets by 2030. The company will use the GEA (Geely Electric Architecture) multi-energy platform to expand its electrified range through plants in Brazil and South Korea.
India as a Global Hub
India is central to the plan. Renault has operated there for 15 years and views it as one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets. Four new models will be designed and assembled in India by 2030, including full-electric and hybrid vehicles. India will also serve as a global production and supply hub for other regions.
Bridger Concept Previews New SUV
The Bridger Concept show car previews a sub-4-meter B-segment SUV. It features 200 mm ground clearance, 18-inch wheels, and 200 mm of rear knee room. Boot capacity is 400 liters.
A production version is expected before the end of 2027, starting in India. Built on the RGMP small platform, it will be available in combustion, hybrid, or electric versions depending on the market. A gradual rollout to other international markets will follow.
R-Space Lab Concept Explores Future Cabin Design
The R-Space Lab concept vehicle explores modular cabin design. At 4.5 meters long, it features a panoramic openR screen spanning the full dashboard width, steer-by-wire technology, and a fully reconfigurable interior.
Safety features under exploration include a tactile alcohol detector and in-car AI for contextual driving assistance. Rear seats fold and flip to accommodate cargo, including a bicycle. Rear doors open to 90 degrees for easier loading.
