Situated a mere two blocks from the Bay Bridge, this indoor charging facility offers convenient access for EV drivers frequenting the South Market (SoMa) neighborhood. It boasts 20 hyper-fast chargers capable of delivering up to 350 kilowatts (kW) of charging power. As their vehicles charge, customers can enjoy the station’s dedicated temperature-controlled lounge areas, complete with food and beverage vending options, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, and restrooms.
Prioritizing customer experience, this state-of-the-art indoor charging station provides EV drivers with 24/7 access, continuous monitoring and security, and a lounge area equipped with comfort and convenience amenities, alongside 20 of Electrify America’s cutting-edge chargers.

Robert Barrosa, president and CEO of Electrify America, stated, “We’re committed to making EVs accessible to all, particularly in dense urban areas like San Francisco. Our expertise in building over 250 stations in California and more than 900 in North America uniquely positions us to bring high-quality charging infrastructure directly into communities where people live and work and support EV adoption across the state.”
In 2022, Electrify America unveiled “The Charging Station of the Future, Today” – a groundbreaking design concept aimed at enhancing the EV driver experience. The Electrify America team spearheading the station design vision has incorporated comprehensive customer feedback and insights from trend research and leading architecture and construction consultants to amplify the focus on human-centered and unique community-centric design strategies for the charging experience.
Electrify America already operates outdoor flagship charging stations in Baker and Santa Clara, California, each equipped with ten or more chargers. The Harrison Street station is the first in the Electrify America network to embody its strategy to construct larger stations to cater to the escalating demand of EV drivers. Electrify America plans to continue this transition with new flagship charging facilities in metro areas nationwide.
